Lydia Lopez graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law in May 2022 and joined Fuerza Immigration Lawyers in October 2022. Since then, she has successfully represented clients in variety of different cases such as U Visas, Violence Against Women Act self-petitions and adjustments, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status cases, Asylum, and Cancellation of Removal in Immigration Court. As the daughter of immigrants, she is passionate about providing comprehensive representation to all her clients.
Lydia obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations with minors in Criminal Justice and Entrepreneurial Leadership from Gonzaga University. During her undergraduate career, she participated and led an immersion trip in Nogales, Arizona where she would meet with various agencies to explore the complexities of the U.S. immigration systems. Lydia also volunteered countless hours mentoring students in after school programs in Spokane, Washington and led a program to provide meals to women in transitional housing. After graduating from Gonzaga University, Lydia worked at the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada where she helped register voters, planned citizenship fairs, and organized for immigrant rights in Nevada.
She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law. There she participated in the Immigration Policy Clinic and Deportation Defense Clinic. She was also an intern at Open Door Legal where she conducted intakes and prepared declarations for clients.
Lydia is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
